Our purpose:
VAC Tribute Wing provides a central scheduling resource for event flyovers. These include memorial missing man flights, parade or sporting event flyovers, fly-in or airshow events.
Creating an opportunity to "Pay it forward" in support of the mission of the Veterans Airlift Command (VAC): providing free private air transporation to combat wounded soldiers/veterans, and their families for medical or other compassionate purposes thru a national network of aircraft owners and pilots.
How it works:
- Pilots and formation groups register their aircraft
- Event sponsors enter an event flyby request
- Tribute Wing offers the mission to pilots located nearest the event
- Lead pilot accepts mission and organizes flyover directly with event sponsor
- Flight accomplished
*Pilots donate aircraft and time / Sponsors given opportunity to promote/contribute to the mission of the Veterans Airlift Command.
